Soloists for "Unwritten": you know your verses well, so this is just for the parts we have not gone over in class. See the time code next to your name below and find that time on the rehearsal track below this note to hear what your part sounds like. It is a bit different from the Academy Singers version. I simplified it since we are short on time! We will work all this in class tomorrow.
MCKENNA - at the end of the 2nd chorus, the choir will sing "today is where your book begins" (2:10) and you sing the turn around "Feel the rain on your" (2:13) overlapping the choir. Everyone will join you on the word "skin" (2:15) RACHEL - at the end of the 3rd chorus, you will sing "the rest is still unwritten (2:32). We won't do any of those adlibs. ANNABELLE - at the end of the pre-chorus, you will sing "release your inhibitions" with the choir (2:59), but you will have the melody. Note that you hold "inhibitions for six counts, beginning on the downbeat on the syllable "bi-" Observe a quarter rest before the chorus comes in again. ELLA - after the choir does one rotation of "Oh, oh, whoa, oh, oh, oh, oh" you will sing "You should let it in" (3:29). Then after the next rotation of "Oh, oh, whoa, oh, oh, oh, oh" you will sing "You should let it in" again (3:39) to conclude the song. |
